Laboratory for Extended Enterprises at Purdue and Computer Integrated Process Operations Consortium
First Joint Annual Meeting
University Inn and Conference Center
West Lafayette, IN
May 14-15, 2002

Our meeting this year is being held jointly with the Computer-Integrated Process Operations Consortium (CIPAC), a companion center at Purdue that focuses on supply chain management in the process industries, especially batch chemicals and pharmaceuticals. This joint annual meeting will bring together a broad spectrum of industrial practitioners and Purdue personnel with an interest in the operation of the extended, information-enabled supply chains that are widely recognized as essential to success in today’s fast-moving global markets. Its objective is to share the exciting research work in progress at our two centers, and to facilitate interactions and collaborations between the academic researchers and industrial participants. Attendance is by invitation only, and will be limited to a total of eighty attendees.

This event will begin with a series of presentations highlighting the research currently being conducted by LEEAP and CIPAC together with our industrial partners. This will be followed by presentations from industry experts focusing on supply chain management challenges in two major industries: automotive and pharmaceuticals. We will conclude the meeting with a discussion of our future plans for work in this area and an open forum for discussion at which all participants may provide their feedback. There will also be plentiful opportunity for one on one interactions with faculty and students through the poster sessions, as well as during the social functions that are planned for this event.

There are no reservation fees and meals will be provided for registered attendees. However, participants will be expected to pay their own travel (driving directions available at web site) and lodging expenses. A block of rooms has been reserved at the University Inn (800-777-9808 - please mention LEEAP/CIPAC meeting when phoning for reservations). There is a limo service available for travel to and from the Indianapolis Airport (cost is $37.00/cash only for round trip limo departs every 2 hours). If you or a representative from your company plan to attend, please register online at our web site or complete the registration form and fax or mail it to Linda Weybright.
